The Columbia Restaurant - a Florida tradition since 1905.
For another dining treat, you can't beat, try the Columbia Restaurant Sand Key. Columbia, the gem of Spanish restaurants, was named after the ballad "Columbia, Gem of the Ocean." The original Columbia, in Tampa's Ybor City, is the oldest restaurant in Florida and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world. The American Israelite - December 13, 2007
"What I enjoyed most was dining at the Columbia Restaurant (Sand Key), a branch of the famous Cuban original in Tampa's Ybor City. Give me Spanish bean soup with chorizos and garbanzos, and boliche with platanos and yellow rice, and I'm a happy beacher." The Miami Herald - July 7, 2002
Waterfront views from our inside dining room or outdoor deck and award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine are the specials at the Columbia on Clearwater Beach's Sand Key.
Whether you choose a table looking out onto the radiant blue waters of the Intracoastal Waterway from the Mediterranean dining room, or experience the casual atmosphere from our outdoor deck, you can enjoy the cuisine that has consistently been voted Tampa Bay's Favorite. Here you can satisfy your taste for fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, along with century-old family recipes like Paella "a la Valenciana," Red Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot and Filet Mignon "Chacho".
Sand Key is located on the West Coast of Florida, directly on the Gulf of Mexico, and is a tropical paradise. Columbia on Sand Key is located just steps from the beach, with two resort hotels nearby.
Sand Key is well known for shelling on the beach and fishing on the jetty. The white sandy beaches are lined by sea oats and Florida pine trees. This is a great place to bask in the sun, walk the miles of beach or sit and watch a fantastic sunset.
From sunrise to sunset, the Gulf Beaches have a lot to offer visitors of all ages. There are 28 miles of the whitest beaches for any type of water sports you can imagine; swimming, shelling, sun bathing, or beach volley ball. There are also many boating adventures to explore, including deep-sea fishing, dolphin watches, snorkeling excursions, canoeing, and parasailing.
When you are finished with your meal, take a walk along the boardwalk that surrounds the waterfront Shoppes on Sand Key.
We invite you to visit our on-site gift shop for a selection of unique gifts, fine cigars & accessories. And don't forget to take home "A Taste of Columbia" with our World Famous "1905" Salad TM Dressing, sangria mix, Cuban and American roast coffee, hot sauce and Columbia seasoning.
